and graphic artists are a dime a dozen in
today's saturated market. Many larger
Tampa website design firms

most small businesses affordable hosting,
website design and web
development solutions yet, the designers who CAN offer
affordable solutions, usually don't retain the staff that larger
firms do. This naturally places limits on accepting and managing client "volume."
Often, independent (freelance)
website and graphic designers are a "one man (or woman)
show...This has many benefits as well as downfalls, but it does
affect the bottom line of the client. The clients of independent
designers don't absorb any staffing expenses, which is one
reason why independent (freelance) website designers
can keep their client's costs
to a minimum. Still there are certain challenges facing
independent designers such as marketing, selling, maintaining
financials while keeping abreast of new techniques and
innovation while offering excellent customer service to
new and existing clients.
Bay Area Graphics &
Marketing occassionally works together with other talented
website and graphic designers around the

clients the best service without having to raise prices is a win
win combination. It's
sort of like a referral based project yet, there are no fees
involved for the designers---If a partner in Germany lands a job

Accommodating various languages play a
big role in this as well. If I have a client who speaks little
English, then working together with a firm who is multi-lingual
allows for more flexibility. If a company can accommodate a
potential client in some way it will only benefit the potential
for referrals. Often, independent designers have to turn down
work if they just can't accommodate a client's deadline, lacking
the manpower needed. Instead of loosing a client altogether
freelancers should consider working together with other design
firms and design firms who are able to broaden the horizons of a
talented freelancer should do so!
